About Myself

I am Mohammed Shahriar Arefin currently pursuing Ph.D. in Bioengineering at Temple University.
I am currently performing research under the supervision of Dr. Chetan A. Patil in the Optical Diagnostic Research Lab (ODRL).

My research involves optical simulations of Pulse oximeters and Transcutaneous bilirubinometers using Monte-Carlo simulations.  With these simulations we are trying to investigate how skin color could impact the accuracy of these widely used devices.

My Research Interest Includes-
Biomedical Device Design and Simulation
Wearable Sensors
Image Processing
Monte-Carlo Simulations

Apart from my research works, I have also worked as Teaching Assistant for courses such as- Bioelectrical Lab, Bioinstrumentation and Biomechanics Lab.
